I’m Alina Rahim, a dedicated second-year undergraduate student at Emory University. Currently, I’m immersing myself in the world of business at Goizueta School of Business, majoring in Organization and Management with a concentration in Media Management.
Driven by a passion for media and storytelling, I embarked on this academic journey fueled by childhood memories of endless Bollywood movie marathons. Alongside my studies, I proudly serve as a Full-Time Appointed Commissioner on Idaho Governor Brad Little’s Commission on Service and Volunteerism, where I contribute to impactful philanthropic legislation, striving to make a tangible difference in my community.
When I’m not engaged in academic pursuits or advocating for service initiatives, you’ll find me refining my craft on Emory’s Bollywood fusion dance team or honing my skills in competitive fencing. Beyond my personal interests, I am deeply committed to service and community engagement, both on and off-campus.
As a member of the Emory Pakistani Student Association and a passionate advocate for uplifting South Asian women, I am dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where every woman feels empowered to pursue her dreams, whether academically, professionally, or personally.
I joined DAWN with the hope of finding a community of like-minded individuals who share my passion for service, mentorship, and networking. I am particularly excited about the mentorship opportunities and networking events offered by DAWN, as I believe they will provide invaluable guidance and support as I navigate my academic and professional journey. I am eager to learn from the experiences of others and to contribute to the collective growth and empowerment of South Asian women.
I look forward to connecting with fellow members of DAWN and exploring the opportunities that lie ahead.
