Vaishali is a fashion entrepreneur, who is a transplant from New Delhi. She was Fashion Professor in Delhi, with a background in Fashion business & consulting.  She moved to New York City few years ago.

Her journey from New Delhi to New York was marked by big dreams and unexpected challenges, typical of any immigrant experience. However, Vaishali’s resilience and determination led her to identify a gap in the South Asian clothing market, particularly during the peak of the pandemic.

In response to this need, Vaishali established NDNY STOCKROOM is a dynamic clothing studio based in the heart of New York City. It is a multi-designer showroom featuring renowned brands from India such as Payal Singhal, Papa Don’t Preach, Varun Bahl, Gopi Vaid, 431-88, and many more. NDNY stands for New Delhi/New York, with an attempt to bring New Delhi to New York through fashion & culture. She is the curator & founder of NDNY.

Through her keen eye for detail and creative flair, she has transformed NDNY into a hub for contemporary South Asian fashion, making it accessible to the diaspora and beyond.

Driven by her passion for culture and fashion, Vaishali’s vision extends beyond merely showcasing clothing. She aims to empower individuals to embrace their cultural identity and defy stereotypes through self-expression. By curating a diverse range of clothing options, she encourages her clients to proudly embrace their heritage and confidently navigate their cultural identity.

Vaishali’s ultimate goal is to facilitate a cultural exchange where the beauty and craftsmanship of South Asian fashion are celebrated and embraced globally. Through her meticulous curation and dedication to promoting Indian design talent, she not only elevates the profile of South Asian fashion but also enriches the fashion landscape of New York City. In essence, Vaishali’s NDNY STOCKROOM is more than just a clothing studio—it’s a celebration of culture, identity, and creativity.
